Multi-Color Corporation is the largest label company in the world! We operate 86 state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in 26 countries.  Our MCC Scottsburg, IN facility is currently in search of a dynamic Production Supervisor to add to our team!


    As a Production Supervisor for the MCC Scottsburg facility, this position is responsible for leading assigned production operations with responsibilities for safety/housekeeping, quality, productivity and customer service.  The Production Supervisor ensures daily operations are performing within our established goals and that strategic initiatives, such as talent development and continuous improvement are met.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Instill a sense of self-responsibility for safety and housekeeping among associates. Assure the safety of the associates and safe use of the equipment.
  • Support Plant budget by controlling labor and overtime, inventory and supply spending.
  • Continually improve leadership and management skills.
  • Monitor and achieve production's operating metrics, such as NFPM, MMSI, percent uptime, waste reduction, safety and housekeeping.
  • Promote a customer-centered culture at the plant, ensuring on-time deliveries of a quality product and supporting the development of new products and technologies.
  • Develop and continually improve technical knowledge of processes in order to continually improve and problem solve.
  • Promote a culture of relentless pursuit of continuous improvement, focused and data based.
  • Build a high performing team to instill ownership of production objectives through selection, performance assessments, training and development of associates.
  • Optimize the production process to assure that quality is built-in, not inspected in. Quality levels must meet customer requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of related supervisory experience
  • Literate in Microsoft Office
  • Capability to learn business information systems
  • Articulate, clear and persuasive in the spoken and written word
  • Basic college math required, statistical analysis preferred
  • Ability to work 12 hours shifts and night shift
  • Move about in the plant; lifting requirement up to 50 lbs.
  • Lean manufacturing experience preferred
  • Rational, logical, fact-driven decision making
  • Read and analyze production and productivity documents
  • Proven experience in leadership and supervisory roles
  • Previous industry experience in printing, packaging and/or ink preferred


While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to:


  • Wear hearing, foot, eye and/or other personal protective equipment while in a manufacturing setting
  • Frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and to write and type 
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb / balance, and reach with hands and arms
  • Frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and move up to 35 pounds 
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit
  • Vision abilities include – close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to distinguish color variations, ability to adjust focus, ability to view a computer screen for extended periods. 
  • Low to moderate noise environment in office areas, moderate to loud in manufacturing
  • Work flexible/varying schedules and hours as needed 
  • Work overtime as required by workload and customer mandated deadlines
