Job Description

As member of the Finance and Accounting Team, you will be responsible for preparing reporting for inclusion in the Company’s quarterly and annual financial statements and other SEC filings. In addition, you will be performing technical accounting research, new accounting standard adoption and special projects.


Primary Responsibilities

  • SEC reporting: Prepare financial statements and footnote disclosures for inclusion in the Company’s quarterly and annual financial statements. Create new and update existing disclosures, including preparing supporting documentation.  Process review comments from management, external auditors and legal counsel.  Coordinate XBRL tagging with third party service provider.  Assist with other SEC filings including 8-Ks, 11-K, proxy and Section 16 filings for Board members and officers. 
  • Technical accounting: GAAP focused technical accounting research in support of a large, complex accounting function. Document findings in memo format.
  • Administration support for stock-based compensation programs: Processing of grants, exercises and cancellations.
  • Monthly financial statement review: Perform income statement and balance sheet analysis for selected MCC companies.
  • Property, Plant & Equipment rollforward review: Review PP&E rollforwards for MCC domestic and international locations.  Work collaboratively with locations to resolve issues.
  • Compliance: Ensure internal controls are established and followed (as it relates to financial reporting).
  • Audit: Provide external audit support.
  • Ad hoc: Work on specialized projects as assigned.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent education required.
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting. Experience with a Big 4 public accounting firm preferred.  SEC reporting experience preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Ability to perform technical accounting research and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a complex and matrixed environment.
  • Strong computer skills and relevant experience leveraging ERP systems such as SAP and Hyperion.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to proactively meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities at once.
