Job Purpose:

As an industry and market-segment expert, manage and maintain effective relationships, growing sales year-over-year, with assigned accounts.  Develop new business by proactively identifying opportunities within the wine and spirits market vertical. 

Sales Executive Duties Include:

  • Lead the overall effectiveness of assigned customer relationships, including personal visits, account strategies, and strong relationships. Communicate account strategies internally to key stakeholders, including the Customer Service group and support their role in achieving the strategy

  • Coordinate all activities and communications with assigned accounts and achieve metrics and expense budget. Analyze and provide sales forecast data as required. Proactively manage, communicate and hand-off to customer service and other key stakeholder’s new projects

  • Lead the growth of assigned accounts by developing capability through leveraging technologies and people, including identifying and bringing new business and deepening account knowledge and relationships

  • Provide input into the annual sales budget and monthly forecast. Exceed approved budgets for assigned accounts

  • Work with Accounting and customers on escalated A/R issues and any other billing related matters. Ensure customer contracts are modeled after best practices

  • Organize and manage internal resources to meet strategic, financial and growth objectives of assigned accounts

  • Be proactive in learning and staying current on customers' business and markets, and industry trends

  • Utilize and embrace best practice sales processes as established by the company

  • Build strong relationships with members of the organization and contribute to the goals and objectives of the other functional areas represented on the sales support teams

  • Seek and bring in new business year over year

  • Model the Corporate Values and Principles. Conduct oneself in an appropriate and business-like and professional manner, building strong relationships both internally and externally




Sales Effectiveness: Utilizes approachability, natural curiosity, and listening skills to understand the customer’s business and critical issues. By having strong emotional intelligence, integrity, project management proficiency and technical knowledge, positions him or herself as a trusted advisor, becoming the subject matter expert in the eyes of the customer.

Demonstrates proclivity to work as part of a team, internally and externally, to accomplish goals. Harnesses diversity of opinions to find the best solutions to meet customer needs. Uses spirited debate, collaboration and data to find the best solutions and meet the customers' and the plants' and objectives.

Strategic Thinking: Demonstrates keenness and quickness in understanding and dealing with a 'business situation' in a manner that is likely to lead to a positive outcome. Shows interest in creating and proposing innovative solutions to add value to the customer’s business. Provides recommendations for assigned account’s future direction.


  • Minimum 5-7 years of direct sales or account management relating to the wine and spirits or similar industries such as packaging is required

  • BA or BS degree Preferred

  • Minimum of three years of marketing and sales planning experience required

  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills

  • Territory Account Management  & Competitive Analysis experience

  • A natural ability to understand customer needs and delivering on company promises

  • Strong client relationships

  • Valid DL

  • Proficient in MS Office Suites

  • Creative Services and Product Development

  • Ability to do some travelling on an as needed basis
