Position Overview: Reporting to the Quality Manager, this position is responsible for assisting with timely, accurate and thorough monitoring and reporting to include: final release for production processing, certifications of analysis, complaint investigations, and assuring compliance with customer and Multi-Color Corporation (MCC) established standards and specifications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform final visual verifications of labels to spot printing and finishing defects.
  • Perform counting, packaging and grouping of labels by customer. Match finished goods with production reports
  • Perform data entry in Radius
  • Perform final release inspection to ensure product meets customer requirements
  • Count and record job ticket completion information and production label testing requirements
  • Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures
  • Assist with equipment calibration and care
  • Responsible for the approval of labels and processes prior to press run
  • Responsible for the approval of roll end retains saved by press operators
  • Responsible for assembling, filing and updating color tolerance folders, color consistency files, pulling clear overlays prior to press run, etc.
  • Collect and review reject information as assigned by Quality Manager
  • Conduct data collection and analysis as required
  • Participate in improvement initiatives and projects
  • Participate in department meetings as scheduled

Job Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Ability to work a rotating, 12-hour shift including nights, weekends, and overtime.
  • Strong mathematic skills
  • Ruler math skills required
  • Positive result on color hue test
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001; food safety, product safety and ASQ Certifications preferred
  • Three years print industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of quality assurance preferred
  • High school education or G.E.D.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, squat, reach and bend for long periods of time
  • Attention to detail/visually oriented
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including analytical abilities within Excel
  • Team player; ability to work cooperatively within a team
