Job Description

 Multi-Color Corporation is hiring a Senior Level Production Graphic Specialist!

Do you have a keen eye for artwork printability? Are you an Adobe Creative Suite Guru? Although we applaud creativity, this position is dedicated to print production professionals who can work in a fast-paced environment.

If your answer is “yes” to the skill sets mentioned above, and you welcome the opportunity to work for a Global Award-Winning Label Solutions Provider in a progressive production environment, then we need to have a conversation.

Your typical day will include:

  • Converting high profile, client-supplied files and instructions to create final proof files for approval to create stepped files for plate output.
  • Applying color manipulation and color correction as well as trapping and minimum print specs to file. Create hard copy/PDF proofs.
  • Utilizing PPMS to complete evaluations and job tasks, communicate directions in appropriate modules.
  • Setting up complex art files, which may include combination print processes and specialty requirements.
  • Creating new tooling files
  • Completing evaluations on separator/customer supplied art files
  • Proofreading finished files, including the completion of QA checklist
  • Interacting with Customer Account Representatives or Label Engineering concerning job specifications or special requirements

Occasionally you may:

  • Interact directly with the customer or graphics separator concerning questions, feedback on specifications, etc.
  • Assist in maintaining/coordinating the management of front-end workflows and process templates when changes are required
  • Assist in research and development of new technology
  • Perform routine maintenance/coordinate the management of computers and equipment
  • Assist in/coordinate the management of overseeing and maintaining color management processes, including equipment, software, create color profiles and procedures
  • Participate in continuous improvement / Kaizen teams.
  • Attend department meetings and internal training classes

Job Requirements

You will be required to possess:

  • HS Diploma or GED; college degree strongly preferred, ideally related to the printing industry
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience print manufacturing environment.
  • Technical expertise required in the plant specific printing processes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into actionable tasks.
  • Intimate knowledge in preparing / planning artwork for high-volume printing.
  • Knowledge of color separations, press layouts, print specifications
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Radius job management software experience is a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and planning skills.
