Perform general maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and rebuilds on all manufacturing and facility equipment as needed.  Assist with installation and start-up of manufacturing equipment.  Work closely with production personnel to resolve issues and improve productivity and quality. 

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities:

•             Maintenance of corporate auto fleet.

•             Snow removal.

•             Rack building and welding.

•             General building maintenance.

•             Moving office furniture.

•             Operate various tools - drill, sander, drill press, power hacksaw, and hand tools Practices and sustains Lean Manufacturing and 6S procedures.

•             Assist with electrical/mechanical installations and consultations regarding applications.

•             Maintain PM program of equipment and the building to reduce downtime and increase operating life of the facility.

•             Proactively identify and support projects/work orders that improve efficiencies.

•             Maintain an atmosphere that facilitates and supports a high performance, team-based culture.

•             Support internal demands to meet customer commitments.

•             Under the supervision of Maintenance Technician II, Lead, or Manager, assist in the repair of malfunctioning equipment.

             ***This is a 2nd Shift position 3pm–11:30pm; maybe required to work on weekends as-needed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Industrial Maintenance certificate or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Skills:

•             Understanding of Industrial equipment mechanics.

•             Wire-feed and TIG welding.

•             Carpentry.

•             Forklifting driving and scissor lift work platform use.

•             Machining and fabrication.

•             Pipefitting of PVC, threaded, and rolled groove pipe.

•             Electrical troubleshooting of industrial equipment, facility wiring and lighting fixtures.

•             Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets, technical procedures and manuals. 

•             Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. 

•             Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.                                                       

•             Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.                                          

•             To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software.
