We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to work in our highly efficient and very safe manufacturing environment.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for widely ranging facility and production equipment projects as dictated by conditions or assigned by the maintenance manager. The Maintenance Technician will primarily (although not exclusively) focus on projects, repair, setup, replacement, and preventive maintenance of production and facility equipment of an electrical nature. The Maintenance Technician must also be willing and able to perform general facility and production maintenance of a non-electrical nature (HVAC, weld/solder, pneumatic, plumbing/pipefitting, and miscellaneous general mechanical).

Primary Duties:

  • Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures
  • Trouble shoot and repair any electrical and/or mechanical problems throughout the company not requiring a licensed electrician
  • Modify any necessary mechanical and/or electrical adjustments on company equipment, fixtures or machinery
  • Responsible for fabrication of special orders as needed
  • Maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, facility support personnel, etc.
  • Logs, files and documents all maintenance paperwork; ensure that department is organized and orderly
  • Responsible for printer/applicator repairs
  • Complete Request for Purchase forms for any parts, material or equipment necessary to repair company equipment, fixtures or machinery
  • Responsible for the timely performance of the preventative maintenance program and completion of records related to program
  • Responsible for daily update to Plant Manager and team regarding status of ongoing projects and work performed
  • Required to work with or near press operator to view labels with assistance of strobe light (Warning: Strobe lights may trigger epileptic seizures in persons with photosensitive epilepsy)
  • Support lean activities, safety committee, and other key initiatives within plant
  • Support as applicable, quality assurance specifications of the customer and MCC
  • Travel within city limits is required, travel out of town as requested/needed
  • Responsible for working overtime when needed and as assigned


Job Requirements

Experience/Skills Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Degree in electronics, mechanics, or like studies, strongly preferred
  • Training related to OSHA strongly preferred
  • Strong, proven knowledge and aptitude for electrical and mechanical processes; minimum 2 years of mechanical experience required
  • Experience in the printing industry strongly preferred
  • Electrical technician experience required
  • Fabrication experience strongly preferred
  • Must be available to work a 12-hour shift, consisting of scheduled nights and weekend
  • Ability to work in the US without company sponsorship
  • Must complete formal training (in-house/course/seminar/vendor) in electrical and electronics
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, sketches and diagrams
  • Must be capable of using specialized meters, gauges, tools, etc.
  • Must be capable of repairing motors, pumps, fans, and other mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Ability to work overtime when needed
  • Ability to accept and adapt to multiple and/or changing priorities
  • Ability to work under stressful or pressure conditions
  • Must be willing and capable of performing hands-on maintenance duties as conditions dictate
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs., 50 feet in distance frequently; more weight in shorter distance may occasionally be required
  • Ability to work in cramped quarters
  • Experience using computers with competency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with Shop Floor Data Management System required
  • Experience with Big Foot or other PM Management system required
  • Experience executing/participating in Preventative Maintenance program preferred
  • Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, make recommendations, and present findings
  • Ability to climb ladders, work around hazardous equipment safely required
  • Strong math and measurement skills
