Job Description

As a strategic partner, the Human Resources Manager, aligns business objectives with employees and management. The Human Resources Manager serves as a consultant to management on Human Resource related issues. The successful candidate will act as the employee champion and change agent. Communicating needs proactively with business management, the Human Resources Manager seeks to develop integrated solutions.

Consult with line management providing HR guidance when appropriate.
Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Provides day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation.
Develops and administers an effective recruitment program.
Provide guidance and input on workforce planning and succession planning.
Identify training needs for respective designated plants.
Participate in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs. Follow-up to ensure training objectives are met.
In conjunction with EHS function, coordinates behavior-based safety programs, monitors workers' compensation claims and serves as a change in agent in driving a safe and healthy work environment.
Prepares, recommends, and maintains records and procedures for controlling associate transactions and reporting data.

Job Requirements

PROFESSIONAL AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in related field; Seven plus years related HR business partner experience Previous experience servicing multi-plants a plus; Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws. SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Excellent consulting skills. Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment to manage sensitive and confidential matters Exhibit intellectual curiosity and initiative Excellent written and verbal communication skills Impeccable follow-through and attention to detail Must have the ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment Strong conflict management skills, interpersonal and negotiations skills. Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results. Effectively envision, develop, and implement new strategies to address competitive, complex business issues. Be flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels. Be self directed and motivated. Take initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation.
