Job Description

Multi-Color Corporation is searching for a Corporate Accountant to join our team, located in Batavia, Ohio.

As a member of the Corporate Finance and Accounting team, the Corporate Accountant is responsible to perform assigned Corporate accounting and reporting functions, including month-end close and financial reporting analysis, assisting with the external audit, internal controls and special projects. 

  • Accounting and Reporting: Complete the month-end close process (journal entries, account reconciliations), reconcile and settle inter-company balances and prepare monthly/quarterly schedules to support internal and external reporting.  Work with global locations to get U.S. GAAP and other adjustments booked locally. Maintain FX rates in SAP and perform monthly SAP FX revaluations. Compile monthly/quarterly reporting from subsidiary locations to support the consolidated financial statements. 
  • Stock Compensation: Use Express Options software to book monthly stock option journal entries, provide quarterly reporting and assist with processing of stock option exercises as needed.
  • Fixed Assets: Monthly, update fixed assets in FAS for various locations and complete related journal entries, account reconciliations and Hyperion fixed asset roll forwards. Tie-out fixed assess roll forwards to detailed reports from subledger for subsidiary locations. Implementation of FAS fixed asset software, as needed. 
  • Statutory Financials: Reconcile statutory financial statements to U.S. GAAP financial statements for non-U.S. subsidiaries. 
  • Finance: Upload of monthly, budget and/or forecast data files to Hyperion. 
  • Compliance: Complete government reports and census surveys.
  • Assist with External Audit: Prepare necessary work papers for the external auditing firm for the completion of quarterly reviews and annual audit, assisting with any audit issues.
  • Internal Controls: Follow processes and policies to ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Customer Service (internal): Support a customer-focused culture for the Corporate Finance function.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting/Finance required.

Qualifications: One to three years’ experience in Accounting/Finance required.

Computer Skills: Above average skills in the usage of Microsoft Office. SAP general ledger, FAS, Express Options and Hyperion experience a plus.

Language Ability: Articulate, clear and persuasive in the spoken and written word. Utilize appropriate communication methods to work with individuals across the globe to take tasks to completion. 

Math Ability: Perform college level mathematical calculations.

Physical Demands: Demonstrate a professional image. Travel and move about in offices and plants.

Reasoning Ability: Read and analyze information to make rational, logical and fact-driven decisions.
