Set-Up Tech Summary

Responsible for the daily set-up and staging of all job components prior to the press going down plus ready for the production presses.  Assure personal safety while meeting or exceeding the needs of the department as it pertains to quality, cost and timely delivery.

  • Responsible for following Standard Operating Procedures

  • Setting-up/mounting of embosses, foil stamps, uniflex, and cut dies, etc.

  • Change out base-rollers from stamp units

  • Stage carts for the production presses. Ensure ALL elements are ready for the job (checklist filled out completely).

  • Bend/Mount Plates

  • Retrieve Inks

  • Gather Screen and supplies

  • Retrieve Job Record

  • Proper use of chemical cleaning products

  • Ensure area is kept clean to 5S House Keeping Standards

  • Report any major maintenance requirements to Team Leaders

  • Perform basic maintenance of parts

  • Assist in wash ups/changeovers

  • Support team achievement of labor plus material conversion rates

  • Assists 2nd operators in restocking supplies

Physical environment/working conditions: Print shop manufacturing, standing_80_%, walking_80_%, pulling_30__%, and lifting_50_%
