WS Packaging Group - Neenah is looking for a 2nd shift Press Pan Washer!

Shift: 2nd, Monday - Friday, 1:55pm to 10:05pm + overtime as required per business needs




Role and Responsibilities:


  • Understand and adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the employee manual.
  • Understand and support the Corporate Mission Statement, Values, Vision, and Operating Principles.
  • Adhere to mandatory daily stretch, safety requirements.
  • Meet attendance standards.
  • Practices and sustains Lean Manufacturing and 6S procedures.
  • Seek to improve the Parts Department process through recommending equipment enhancement, process improvements and procedure changes.
  • Use good judgment and “best for business” tactics when dealing with trouble shooting problems and opportunities.
  • Request help from the Production Supervisor during peak periods.
  • During slow periods or as otherwise necessary, assist other departments.
  • Assist in participating in Root Cause Countermeasure activities to identify areas where improvement is needed and put a plan in motion to address those areas.
  • Report and participate in safety incident investigation while maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Work with all departments to assure that production schedules, purchases, procedures and capabilities are maintained & followed resulting in exceptional product produced for our customers.
  • Maintain appropriate and legible HMIS labels.
  • Wash, store, and maintain production parts.
  • Prepare parts needed for Press and keep presses stocked with needed supplies.
  • Maintain inventory of production components and place orders when needed.
  • Consistently complete Daily Task List
  • Work as a team to improve and streamline the process with each department.
  • Provide other assistance as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization throughout production areas...
  • Communicate on a daily basis with production personnel.
  • Rotate required weekend coverage.
  • Required to work 12 hour shifts; required to work weekends as scheduled on a regular or as-needed basis

Qualifications and Education Requirements:


High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Strong written/verbal interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to read, write, and comprehend instructions and SOPs.  Must be able to understand and present information to team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in an organized manner.
  • Strong initiative, problem-solving, and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume and distance.
  • Able to work well under stress, multi-task, set priorities, and manage and adapt to frequent changes
  • Must be extremely trustworthy, dependable, and flexible
  • Willing to work OT and weekends as scheduled.
  • Practice & sustain Lean Manufacturing and keep work area clean using 6S procedures.




Physical Demands:


Works in a manufacturing environment and will be required to wear hearing, foot, and/or other personal protective equipment while performing duties in a manufacturing setting. May be on feet 8 – 12 hours a day with need to stand, walk, kneel, crawl, crouch, stoop, bend, climb, as needed. May handle, feel and reach for items in and around press area. Moderate to frequent walking and lifting and/or move up to 40 lbs.  Repetitively is required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close & distance vision, ability to adjust focus, peripheral and depth perception. The noise level in the work environment is usually medium to loud. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed.
