Job Description


To gather all required tooling needed to mount flexographic plates and screens for the printing presses according to the press schedule and press needs. Then mount the required plates, screens onto the tooling and then place onto the staging cart for transportation to the press.



  1. Review daily press schedule to mount all plate-screen related needs for upcoming orders.
  2. Retrieve all tooling required to mount the orders from the storage racks and place on the cart. Some extension and twisting is required to load cylinders on cart. Some plate cylinders weigh up 75 pounds.
  3. Lift cylinder off of cart and load on to the plate mounter. Once plate is mounted lift off the plate mounter and place onto transportation cart.
  4. Inspect quality of completed plates and screens.
  5. Seam and mount any rotary screens that are required for the order. Weight of rotary screen is 5 pounds.
  6. Backup Plate Making if needed.
  7. Clean all machines on a regular schedule.



  1. Order weekly supplies.
  2. Keep entire plate-screen room clean.
  3. Dispose of hazardous waste into labeled drums for hazardous waste disposal.
  4. Ensure that Food Safety Policies and practices are followed and understood.

Job Requirements


  1. Dexterity and preciseness required to prepare and make plates and screens.
  2. High school or technical school education, or equivalent, with mathematics emphasis.
  3. Requires knowledge and use of ruler.
  4. Job requires problem-solving skills.
  5. Job involves exposure to chemicals and fumes.
  6. Job requires the ability to lift 75 pounds
