Corporate Tax Accountant



As a member of the Global Multi-Color Corporation Team, the Tax Accountant will assist with legal entity rationalization and global tax planning projects, cash repatriation strategies, and project management.  The Tax Accountant will be responsible for providing information to third party service providers for preparation of federal and state income tax returns and responding to related federal and state tax notices and audits.  He or she will also assist with the preparation and review of U.S. and international tax provision calculations (ASC 740.) 

Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Analyze and assist in implementing global tax planning initiatives, including legal entity rationalization and tax efficient cash repatriation 
  • Data-gather for third party tax providers for their preparation of U.S. federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns
  • Assist with the quarter-end and year-end tax provision process (ASC 740) and review with external tax consultants; preparation of related supporting schedules and documentation
  • Communicate with the IRS and state and local tax governments to resolve notices and audits
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, on tax related process improvements and documenting various compliance issues
  • Assist with tax integration activities of acquired entities
  • Prepare UNICAP Calculations
  • Review fixed asset additions and disposals each quarter and help managed shared service fixed asset team
  • Assist with calculation and settlement of domestic estimated tax payments and ensure timely tax filings
  • Prepare royalty model and distribute invoices to international locations
  • Research withholding tax issues related to royalty, service, and interest payments
  • Track and monitor foreign tax returns and statutory account filings
  • Assist with Multi-Color Corporation Tax Department's corporate budgeting
  • Project and manage R & D study with third party provider
  • Coordinate state and local registration with third party provider
  • Prepare journal entries and board resolutions for cash repatriation

Qualifications include, but are not limited to the following:

  • One to Three years of experience in Tax Accounting and Compliance
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting Required; CPA, MBA, or MST preferred
  • Experience in a corporate or public accounting environment, including federal and state income tax experience with 'C Corporations' preferred
  • Experience with corporate enterprise systems such as OnceSource provision and SAP preferred

Computer Skills:

Must have demonstrated experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products and be able to create & manipulate Excel documents. SAP, Sage FAS, OneSource, and Hyperion knowledge a plus.
